Synopsis

A brief typed carbon or copy letter on letterhead of the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, State Engineer, Montgomery, Alabama. George J. Davis, Jr., State Engineer for the P.W.A. in Alabama, writes to the Administrator of the Public Works Administration in Washington, D.C. (attention: Board of Review), regarding Docket 4825, Wedowee, Alabama, Waterworks. He encloses three copies of supplementary information for consideration with the docket. A copy was sent to J. E. Perry, Town Clerk of Wedowee, which is presumably how it came to be in the town's files. The letter shows the Wedowee application moving through the state PWA office to the national Board of Review in the late summer of 1934, after the town had scaled down its request.
